The uplink communication compatible with GPRS/3G/4G and other communication modes can be conducted through the public communication network with modular design. The downlink communication can adopt PLC (or radio frequency) or RS485 interface, and be connected to instrument or data collector. The energy data and events collected from the electricity meter can be saved and calculated by the terminal first, and then sent to the master station through the uplink channel. In addition, the parameters of the meter or data collector can be maintained and set according to the protocol and user requirements.
