On May 23, the kick-off meeting for the development of the IEEE P3453 "Guide for Evaluation and Application of Overall Measurement Uncertainty in Electrical Energy Measuring Devices," hosted by the Marketing Service Center of State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company and co-organized by Yantai Dongfang WISDOM Electric Co., Ltd. and the School of Electrical Engineering at Sichuan University, was successfully held in Sichuan.The meeting was attended by more than 30 experts, including the IEEE SA China Office Standards Manager, representatives from the China Electric Power Research Institute, the China Southern Power Grid Research Institute, and multiple power marketing service centers (metering centers) and power supply companies from Sichuan, Chongqing, Shanghai, Hunan, Xinjiang, and Guangxi, as well as scholars from Sichuan University, Southwest Jiaotong University, and various other enterprises.

After thorough discussion and a democratic voting process, Ms. Wang Ying from the School of Electrical Engineering at Sichuan University was elected as the Vice-Chair of the Working Group, and Mr. Wang Wenguo from WISDOM was appointed as the Secretary. The participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on key topics, including the framework of the standard, the latest developments in measurement uncertainty evaluation technology, practical application case analyses, and strategies for standard implementation. The meeting successfully concluded, marking a positive beginning for the development of the IEEE P3453 standard!
