Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the Xi"an University of Electronic Science and Technology (Xidian)-UTAR China-Malaysia Technology Innovation Institute and the appointment ceremony for members of the Joint Management Committee were successfully held at Houde Building, Guangzhou Research Institute of Xi"an University of Electronic Science and Technology. The event was attended by Zhang Xinliang, President of Xi"an University of Electronic Science and Technology; Ewe Hong Tat, President of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR); Liang Wei, Party Secretary of the School of Mechatronics Engineering at Xi"an University of Electronic Science and Technology; Li Pu, CEO of Malaysia"s ACO Tech; and Zhang Xia, Chairman of Yantai Dongfang WISDOM Electric Co., Ltd. The event was hosted by Chen Bo, Vice Dean of the Scientific Research Institute of Xi"an University of Electronic Science and Technology.

 The meeting reviewed and approved the "Construction Plan of the Xidian-UTAR China-Malaysia Technology Innovation Institute," and designated Yantai Dongfang WISDOM Electric Co., Ltd., Malaysia"s ACO Tech, Shanghai Shenhe Yunke Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Mancoway Communication Technology Co., Ltd. as the first batch of member units. Presidents Zhang and Ewe presented appointment certificates to the member units and expressed that this meeting would serve as an opportunity for Xidian and UTAR to deepen cooperation with leading enterprises, promote academic exchange, and facilitate the transformation of technological innovation achievements.

As a member of the Joint Management Committee, Chairman Zhang stated, "The establishment of the China-Malaysia Technology Innovation Institute provides a valuable international platform for talent cultivation and the commercialization of research achievements. In light of WISDOM"s overall situation and its recent cooperation with universities such as Xidian, WISDOM will leverage the broad platform of the China-Malaysia Technology Innovation Institute to further collaborate with Xidian and UTAR on talent development. The results of university-enterprise cooperation will be more seamless and significant."

The institute will focus on fields such as communications, computer science, artificial intelligence, materials, and humanities and social sciences, and carry out practical cooperation with leading enterprises in joint talent cultivation, transformation of scientific research achievements, and hosting international conferences.
