On May 15, 2022, Wisdom Nepal"s project team completed the installation of more than 100,000 meters and system access for the AMI project on schedule. It took three years and many trials to finally obtain the completion certificate, and the project formally entered the operation and maintenance phase.

The project is the first AMI project in Nepal, which was officially launched on May 30, 2019. Wisdom, as a power system solution provider, is providing the National Electricity Authority of Nepal with a national-level metering system, including the master station, communications, and meter design, installation, operation and maintenance services, with a long-term system access of up to 5 million meters or more.

Overcoming the frequent "pause buttons" brought about by the epidemic, local households" non-cooperation with meter installation and other difficulties, Wisdom"s overseas project team closely followed customers" needs, took the initiative to coordinate with the local government and power supply offices to do the work of the public, and impressed customers with professional services. In response to the pain points of the "Nepal Calendar" application and the design of big data architecture for millions of users, the company organized the R&D force to work through the night, successfully overcoming a series of problems and completing the system"s functional design, customized requirements development and on-site deployment ahead of schedule. During the whole implementation period of the project, there were "zero security incidents", and all the set goals were achieved!

Nepal AMI project ended the backwardness of local manual meter reading, greatly improved the structure of Nepal"s power grid and the quality of electricity consumption, and improved corporate revenue, mainstream media reported that the project opened a new era of smart grid in Nepal!At the end of 2021, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) took the initiative to send a letter of thanks to Wisdom for its strong support to NEA and outstanding contribution to the development of Nepal"s electric power industry, which is not only a recognition of Wisdom"s products and system solutions for AMI projects, but also a high affirmation of Wisdom"s spirit of "Driven by Innovation, Serving the Globe"!
