Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) - WISDOM Talent Development Internship and Practice Base was successfully held at the WISDOM Industrial Park. The event was attended by Li Xinyu, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at HUST; Zhang Li, Director of the Public Basic Teaching Experiment Center; Zhang Xia, Chairman of WISDOM; Zhang Jiahai, Deputy General Manager of WISDOM, and others. Dean Li and Chairman Zhang jointly unveiled the Talent Development Internship and Practice Base. This collaboration builds upon last year’s successful internship program involving 28 students from the Industrial Engineering program at the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering. It marks a significant step in strengthening the integration of industry and academia, complementing this year’s expanded internship activities.

Dean Li and his delegation first toured WISDOM"s Practice Innovation Base, where they listened to reports from 40 students majoring in Industrial Engineering and Measurement & Control Technology and Instrumentation who are currently interning at the company. The delegation also visited WISDOM’s digital showroom, office spaces, and innovation studio to better understand the company’s business operations, innovation capabilities, advancements in intelligent manufacturing, and the future development plan for the WISDOM Central Zone Industrial Park.

During the subsequent discussions, Chairman Zhang extended a warm welcome to Dean Li and his team, providing an overview of WISDOM’s industrial layout and growth strategy. He emphasized that the company"s rapid development is closely linked to its ability to attract and nurture high-level talent. Chairman Zhang expressed his hopes that this collaboration between WISDOM and HUST will lead to breakthroughs in talent acquisition, cutting-edge technology research, and the commercialization of research outcomes. Dean Li introduced the history, academic achievements, and faculty development of HUST and the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering. He also inquired about the progress of HUST alumni currently working at WISDOM. Upon learning of their impressive growth and contributions, Dean Li expressed satisfaction, noting the alignment between WISDOM’s needs and the school’s academic strengths. He emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in research, talent development, and other areas. Director Zhang Li also provided an overview of the ongoing planning and construction of HUST"s Public Basic Teaching Experiment Center.

At the unveiling ceremony, Dean Li presented Chairman Zhang with an appointment letter, officially naming him an adjunct professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Chairman Zhang expressed his gratitude for the university’s trust and recognition, pledging to integrate the practical experience of corporate development into academic teaching. He vowed to work closely with HUST to cultivate students’ innovation and practical skills, contributing to talent development, academic progress, and the enhancement of both teaching and research at the university, while also promoting the high-quality development of WISDOM.
